Public money. Act like an owner.
The flood barriers are being built with public money, on public land, for the people who live and work here. Decisions are still being made. Here is where residents can actually show up, speak, and be counted.
Show up
Attendance is the single strongest signal. These bodies take public comment, and their minutes are part of the permanent record.

Put it in writing
Written comments and records requests create a paper trail that officials must answer to.
Write to Community Board 1
Written testimony to CB1 enters the public record and shapes the board's resolutions, which agencies must formally respond to. Reference the specific project and meeting agenda item.
